Flat Surfaced Intricates

These flat-surfaced intricate pieces are an exploration of the space in-between a two-dimensional artwork and a sculptural, multi-dimensional piece. Through these works the artist was trying to push and stretch the form of the two-dimensional. Experimenting with two clay bodies can be challenging but the outcome is very visually satisfying. These pieces are a manifestation of how the artist wishes to use clay as a means of creating as a material with endless possibilities rather than be restricted or limited to/by it.
